Bidhive cloud software supplier on G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace

September 30, 2020

G-Cloud 12 Framework Digital Marketplace
Bidhive is now a supplier on G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace, the UK Government’s framework for public sector organisations to find and purchase Cloud-based software for business development.

Bidhive, the platform dedicated to helping major contractors and suppliers improve the way they win work, has been named as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud 12 framework Lot 2: Cloud Software (SaaS) for bid management software.

Bidhive has a pioneering solution with an end-to-end closed loop process that addresses the data connectivity challenges which inhibit contract bidding efficiency, transparency and compliance.

Simple-to-use and aligned to global APMP principles and UK National Occupational Standards for Best Practice Bidding & Tendering, Bidhive delivers best practice methodologies and tools to provide the structure, governance and analytics that organisations need to improve their winning performance.

“Being accepted onto the UK Government’s G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace is a major milestone and important channel to market in our company’s global expansion plan,” said Bidhive CEO and Co-founder Nyree McKenzie.

“This arrangement enables Bidhive to be accessed by all UK public sector agencies under a common framework, enabling the platform to be rolled out faster to more users. It also creates a more level playing field both directly and through the supply chain, contributing to economic growth,” Ms McKenzie said.

Ms McKenzie said the Bidhive platform had been specifically designed to support project management across the full opportunity lifecycle where strategy, time and resource management, and stakeholder involvement across the business is critical.

“These are usually bids involving complex deals and unique commercial projects that have large scale impact such as those affecting national security, or those which deliver life-enhancing and life-saving projects or programs.”

Bidhive has been supporting UK companies on the platform since 2019 with customers already beginning to represent industry supply chain clusters.

“Attracting supply chains across high growth industry sectors was definitely what we set out to achieve to enable us to build a community of practice and support in-platform teaming on collaborative bids. We’re seeing this play out in health and human services, and now across engineering and defence,” said Ms McKenzie.

“We first brought on Independent Clinical Services Group, one of Britain’s largest supplier of healthcare, social care and scientific professionals to the NHS, local authorities and private clients. Next, Matrix SCM joined us. They’re a vendor-agnostic procurement and supply chain software company specialising in the recruitment of agency staff to more than 100 authorities across the UK including local authorities, the NHS and government departments and bodies.  Now we have Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust on board, and the G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace will open up more opportunities for others to join.”

Bidhive has also signed a partner agreement with another G-Cloud 12 Digital Marketplace provider, Harmonic Limited, a leading UK bid and project delivery consultancy that works with industry and government across defence and security, transport, outsourcing, infrastructure and technology sectors, with clients including BAE Systems, Balfour Beatty, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and the Ministry of Defence.

“The Agreement with Harmonic Limited gives our customers local access to sector and industry-specific business development expertise as well as support for enterprise bid teams’ digital transformation programs. Together, inclusion on the G-Cloud 12 framework means Bidhive can support commercial functions of government and arm’s length bodies to build world-class capability and accelerate their digital transformation towards improved and simpler ways of working – individually, or in partnership with others.”

Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2019/20, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits worth over £1bn – supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
